The process of how something or someone can transform is an intriguing “in-between” state to me. During adolescence the stages of transformation merges awkwardly and organically. The physical changes are more obvious but the psychological changes are not.
I made 12 ink wash paintings of a boy in his hoodie. I tried to capture the ambivalent moods and feelings here again. Is he sad? Is he angry? Is he confused?
